Our dental care services include:
We are proud to offer a range of restorative dentistry treatments including: crowns, bridges, inlays, and fillings. For all of these treatments we use the latest porcelain and acrylic materials that wear well and look natural. The materials last longer, look better, and add strength to your teeth. Another benefit of using porcelain or acrylic for restorative treatments is less of your tooth is removed, which means less time in the dental chair and more comfort for you. If you prefer metallic restorations, we can discuss the options with you.
Dental crowns help restore strength and function to damaged teeth. This restorative dentistry treatment uses the finest porcelain to create seamless, durable, and natural-looking crowns that help you have a more radiant, beautiful smile. Crowns are placed over severely damaged teeth to preserve the tooth and prevent future damage.
This dental restorative treatment creates a tight, superior fit to your natural teeth. Tooth-colored fillings give patients a natural looking alternative to silver (amalgam) fillings. Plus, tooth colored fillings match your tooth color perfectly.
If you experience tooth loss due to decay, injury, or gum disease, bridges can be utilized. Losing a tooth for any of these reasons can result in greater problems for your dental health if it is not corrected. It can cause the teeth next to the missing tooth (or teeth) to shift, which can look unsightly, or result in discomfort or pain. Bridges will close any gaps between your teeth. The bridge acts and looks just like a natural tooth, and helps to maintain the position of the rest of your teeth, since it is permanently cemented.
Porcelain veneers help improve the look and shape of your teeth. With veneers, your teeth can appear in better proportion to your facial features and look more natural. In addition, veneers can protect and treat deteriorating or severely damaged teeth. Not only will this help improve the appearance of your smile, it can also improve your overall dental health.
Whitening (take-home and in-office)
Teeth whitening is one of the simplest ways to rejuvenate your smile. Our in-office and at-home whitening systems are equally as powerful and effective. In some cases, we may recommend a combination of both systems. Together with our staff and dentist, you will develop a whitening plan that fits into your life and works well for you. We will take into consideration you dental health, overall expectations, and budget. Other than making your smile more radiant, teeth whitening can help you gain a healthier mouth, since we tend to take better care of our teeth when they look cleaner and more attractive.
We perform a complete line of periodontal evaluations and screenings to diagnose and treat any gum-related issues. Periodontal (gum) disease is prevalent in the majority of our adult population, so our team of hygienists and assistants offer a variety of gum-care treatments.
Preventive care is the best way to achieve and maintain good dental health. This means attending dental appointments on a regular basis. Regular visits include cleanings, fluoride treatments, and x-rays. All of these help keep your smile strong and healthy.
Cleanings and Exams
Patients should typically be seen for a dental cleaning and routine exam every 6 months, or as recommended by your dentist. During a routine visit, your teeth will be cleaned, and plague and calculus are removed. This leaves your smile bright and polished. To detect possible cavities in between teeth, x-rays may need to be taken. This also helps us see damage or problems that are not visible to the naked eye.
Root Planing and Scaling
During scaling treatment, calculus and plaque are removed from the tooth surface. The area below the gum line, on the root, is especially targeted. The root is literally smoothed, which both prevents bacteria from easily colonizing in the future and promotes healing.
If other restorative treatments such as root canals, fillings, or crowns are not enough to save a tooth, extracting or pulling a tooth may be necessary.
Endodontics (Root Canals)
Endodontic therapy (root canal treatment) may be recommended if the nerve of a tooth dies and becomes infected. During a root canal, we remove the nerve (also known as the pulp) and seal the canals within your teeth, which allows the tooth and surrounding tissues to heal from the infection.
Ready to gain confidence and better smile? During Invisalign® treatments, you will use a series of clear, virtually invisible aligners. These gradually and gently move your teeth based on the treatment plan we will develop with you. Plus, there are no brackets or wires, so you will not have to worry about others noticing you are going through a corrective treatment. Most people will not even notice you are wearing Invisalign® aligners. Since the aligners are removable, you don't have to worry about changing your diet or brushing habits. You can eat whatever you want and floss and brush as you normally would.
On average, every 6-8 weeks you will visit our office. This treatment usually takes less than a year to complete.
These are removable devices that fit over teeth and help prevent you teeth from wearing down during sleep due to night time clenching and grinding. If a patient has higher than average teeth grinding problems, these guards are sometimes worn during the day.
Athletic Mouth Guards
Our custom athletic mouth guards are pressure processed in a professional dental laboratory. According to recent research, this type of mouth guard provides users with superior protection against concussion injuries to the brain.
